I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon with experience in general orthopaedic surgery and special expertise in both Hand and Knee Surgery including trauma, arthritis and sport injuries. Currently I serve as Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hurstville Private Hospital.
I am committed to providing all my patients with the best possible care based on the latest evidence based practice guidelines. I am a firm believer in incorporating your individual needs to achieve the best health outcomes. Surgical treatment is not a one size fits all remedy.
After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1998, I undertook my internship and resident year in St Vincents Hospital, Sydney. I have completed a graduate diploma in Clinical Epidemiology at The University Sydney in 2004.
I completed my orthopaedic advanced training through the NSW Southside Australian Orthopaedic Association programme in 2009 and gained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2010. I became a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2013.
I have published articles in several medical and surgical journals and have presented papers to the annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting.
In a teaching capacity, I am a Clinical Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of WA.
I am fluent in the languages of Arabic and Spanish.
